SMA Enterprises LTD are direct importers of fresh fruits, veg and salad. We are wholesalers that supply to caterers, supermarkets, restaurants, schools, hospitals and many more. At SMA, quality matters and hats why we have a team that is dedicated to working closely with farmers in many countries to get the best price, quality and quantities in order to support all our customers.

KING OF MANGOES

SMA are also known in the UK as the 'KING OF PAKISTANI' mangoes. With over 20 years experience we grow our own mangoes on our farm in Pakistan, complete the hot water treatment ourselves and import over10,000 boxes per day during the months of mango season. KING OF MANGOES We also have good relationship with farmers for Dominican and Indian mangoes during these seasons too. These mangoes are in demand all over the UK including Ireland and is loved by all of our customers.

"KING OF MANGOES"

Mangoes have a whole process that makes them clean, sweet and ripened. Mangoes need to be grown on a farm suitable for these fruits, with controlled temperature and daily inspections. They then need to go through a process called hot water treatment which cleanses the mangoes and helps with the sweetness. This process takes time and is done in large industrial machines. At SMA we have our own mango farm with over 80 workers in Pakistan who complete this whole process. We also have a warehouse where the hot water treatment is completed.

This makes us stronger than competitors as we are able to control our quality of mangoes, we directly import and use our own trading name and also able to control and regulate prices and beat anyone else prices out there. We start of by importing sindhiri which is the first mango that is cut, then chaunsa which is the sweetest and then finishing off with smaller varieties like anwer retol and desheri. At SMA during mango season we import over 10,000 boxes a day with vans distributing all over the UK.

Dates

During Ramadan is a very demanding time for dates and this is why at SMA we directly import dates from Palestine, Tunisia and Saudia. We have brands suchas madina dates, yaffa and haifa dates. Varieties like safawi, khudri, medjoul and more available.

Sultana Grapes

Sultana grapes are the heart of turkey, during the summer months, we can sell many pallets per day. We visit Turkey many times in the months before importing the grapes to ensure quality is the best and that they are as sweet as possible.

Watermelon

During summer, watermelon is the main fruit which is sold anywhere in the world. Varieties include cantaloupe, honey dew, watermelon, galia and piel de sapo. Watermelons are very popular, we buy large bins, a full containers a few times a week and these sell out very fast.

POMEGRANATES

Pomegranate season is another busy season but hard to find a good price for the right quality and that's why we work with farmers in Spain and Turkey many months before season to ensure the quality and price is perfect for customers.
